Senior Risk Officer

• Develop and enhance CTRM software for the various commodity portfolios;
• Develop and enhance the risk reporting infrastructure (ETL, Risk Data Warehouse, Market Data Store);
• Develop new risk metrics, methods and models;
• Ensure that Risk is aligned with Technology department in terms of software engineering methodologies and best practices;
• Assist in designing the architecture of the Risk technology and the interfaces to other functions;
• Deliver insightful reporting and analytics that improve effective communication to traders and management;
• Interact with traders to understand and monitor their risk and P&L;
• Assist derivatives traders; typically providing guidance hedging schedules, booking complex trades, investigating P&L and risk issues;
• Analyse and generate timely trading & risk reports for physical and derivative
• Liaise with external providers (brokers, financial institutions, etc.) for daily issues and longer-term projects;
• View stakeholder interaction as an integral part of successful delivery

Requirements:

• Experience in commodities min. 2 year, preferably in Oil & Gas products
• Understanding of financial instruments and derivatives

• Demonstratable analytical and numerical skills

• Excellent Excel skills, including Power Query
• First-hand experience in Risk Management (P&L calculation and explain, risk dimensions, operational)

• Good Python and SQL, C+ knowledge

Good to have:

• Business Intelligence or other systematic reporting experience highly desirable
• Experience with clearing/brokering counterparties desirable
• STEM / technical background desirable
• Database experience desirable
• Have already some experiences in commodities and related financial instruments and be able to demonstrate strong analytical and numerical skills.
• Good Python and SQL, C+ knowledge
